Have a question about devices internals, memory layout, reverse engineering, etc---This is the place for anything so technical that it would cause a n00b's head to 'splode

OK... so far the WD 5T has been stable connected to my Dell... but now I want to put back on the WDTV and see what happens.... currently I have less that 2T of movies on it.. I want to test it with less than 3T and then more than 3T to see if there is any different issues.
If... and I think it will.. change the capacity... will there be anything I can try to "fix" that?
or at least a way to "fix" the capacity without a format?
thanks
bob

Sorry, I have no idea what changes it and how to change it back. If it changes, your best bet is to start fresh even if your PC can read it now. There's no telling what could change in a few days and the drive is unreadable and you lose your data...
