Okay, better news my friend. A clean build of 176 does boot the GUI. The interface seems a bit slower to respond when navigating, similar to the previous 105 release - but this is subjective of course.

A quick test of Telnet and Webend didn't work. I don't have much time right now to keep going unfortunately... Probably can't test xmounts till telnet opens up anyway.

Ok, I'll look into telnet - it should have started. About the slowness - unfortunately it will get slower (to boot and to operate) since we're starting more services than stock firmware. Webend is not added, and it will take a while till I get to it.

Sorry, I haven't had time to work on it since my second son was born. I'm still adjusting to my new life and time is non-existant. Hopefully things will be less busy at work and I will have a bit of time to take this further...

Be sure that if you can continue to patch the 1.06 base, we will be there to test it :)

I'm hoping to find somewhone to take over the job - I'm out of time and frankly I don't plan on using 1.06 anyway (I'm a hardcore 1.02 + wdtvext fan).
The person who wants to take over needs to have linux shell experience and lots of time. The rest I can teach/help him.
