Renaming the folders before 10000 BC and redoing 19 sheets (9 before, 1 center and 9 after) did not work either

Ok I think I might have found your problem.
Itried to replicate what you had...
so I created a folder structure with what you had:

created the following Folder
Code: Select all
10000 BC
102 Dalmatians
12 rounds
17 again
2.13
2012 anything
3 Pigs & a Baby
300
88 Minutes
9

Put in a fake .avi with the same name has the folder in each, and I put the corresponding "folder.jpg" files
then Used ThumbGen v1.1.1 to generate the info and sheets, selecting
"Buhric - CoverTrickle - Parent Folder" as the "extra" template

Here's what I got:

For "10000 BC"
Image

For "9"
Image

I managed to replicate you problem with "3 Pigs & a Baby" and the issue ithe the "&"
Image
Theres a bug in ThumbGen v1.1.1 (fixed in v 1.1.2) that duplicate the code for "&"
so the token "%TITLEPATH%" becomes "G:\New folder\3 Pigs & a Baby"
wich my script never actualy finds it in the list so return the default 1st position which is "10000 BC"

But if you use ThumbGen v1.1.2 - this is what you get
Image

But what I also noticed is that the order that I have for the thumbs are not the same has what you have in your picture....
the order im my sheet is:
Code: Select all
10000 BC
102 Dalmatians
12 rounds
17 again
2.13
2012 anything
3 Pigs & a Baby
300
88 Minutes
9

your order is:
Code: Select all
10000 BC
2.13
3 Pigs & a Baby
9
12 rounds
17 again
88 Minutes
102 Dalmatians
300
2012 anything

I also noticed that you are missing the middle and top black bars in your picture... did you removed them ?

Well that's weird. Nothing I can do to re-order the folder order. I checked to see if there were something that could be check marked to have a alpha or numerical order or whatever but found nothing. I am using XP Pro with SP3 BTW.

The 2 black line missing, dunno what happened there. I certainly prefer the looks of yours. They look more like the TG Default sheet that I used before I attempted this switch over.

I will redownload your sheet package and see if there is anything I am missing.

In your sheet package, what all needs to go in the template folder of TG? I didn't move everything and maybe I should have. I only moved the parent and the parent's parent sheets. Maybe I should move some of the other folders.

It's gotta be something simple I missed somewhere.

OK so I put everything but the "no back" templates and the "TV Shows" template in the template folder of TG and did 3 movies I just downloaded. The black lines are there now. I was also missing the country flag and the certification. Those are also back now.

Still I can't re-order teh movies to look like what you have. Are you using Windows 7? It could be as simple as that. As said in the previous post, I am using XP Pro with SP3.

I am now at work and can't test on my movie list but I will tonight.

yes I am using Windows 7, but the ordering of the thumbs in the sheet is not supposed to be OS dependent.
I created my own "ordering system" in the xls transform to match the WDTV sorting, so its really based on the Folder names and nothing else

I will retry it with Windows XP in my virtual machine, and I'll let you know, just in case.

You need to unrar the "Common" folder also to see the flags and other images

EDIT:
I just tried it with Windows XP SP3 with ThumbGen v1.1.1
And the thumbs its generates are in the exact same order has in Windows 7

Thanks bro for all the effort. I kept your Sheet cuz I really like the looks as folder sheet and TG's default as movie sheet. I removed the tickling thumbs at the bottom of yours since I can't make it trickle and kept the rest.

Tx for all the help.

Since I can't make it trickle I have removed the trickle thumbs at the bottom as per your How To. Looks great. Only problem now is that the movie thumb on the left, the black strip that contains the plot etc... and all the writing are a bit high for my sheet. Where would I look and how would I drop those items more towards the bottom so I can see the image in the sheet better? Maybe making that black strip a bit lighter as well.

I know nothing about editing sheet and have no clue what to edit to make it the way I would like.

Thanks for all your help

Best way I found to edit/mod sheets is with TVixie, download it here

Once its installed, start the "TemplateEditor.exe" application and open up the "TEMPLATE.XML" file that you want to modify
Now, its just a matter of finding the correct "ImageElement" in the top right list box

"blackbar" is the top blackbar where the IMDB stars are
"panel" is the bar in the middle where the plot appears
....

Then once the desired element is selected, go into the Properties tab underneath and modify the X and Y values wich are the position of the image
To modify the transparency... go into the "Actions" tab select the "AdjustOpacity" and change its value....

The problem of having the middle bar to light, is that if you have a light background image, you will not be able to read the text....

Tx bro. I'll give it a shot. Worst I can do is have to dump it and start over again with your original ;)
