Auto framerate/resolution plugin for WDLXTV

i guess i found out why its not working with audio mode "stereo" for you. if you never changed that setting there is no AUDIO_OUT key in the config file.
solution for now: change the setting once to digital and then back to stereo. now script should work as expected.

well I can confirm that switching to digital and then back to sterio resolves the initial pugs with this app

but I also wonder if it's possible to get a .conf file for editing that can simply be placed at root of drive next to the app.bin file that way we don't have to telnet and edit conf file that way
it would at least help me
I've got webend working and even downloaded putty and know it's working because for test I cat /conf_src/version and got correct response displaying fw version, but let's face it I've never used telnet or putty before, so I'm lost when in comes to trying to edit the conf file
basically my editing goal would be to force 1080p on all files, that way the dvd's etc that are not 1080p get upscaled before output to my tv, which does not upscale but does support 24fps for my blu-ray files

edit: ok, I've just changed my root passwd in putty via telnet and then I type /conf/autores.conf as noted in first post
but I get response permission denied, any idea's

you can edit the config file with "vi /conf/autores.conf".
placing the config file on usb stick is a good idea, i'll try to implement that for next release.

does the .conf always have to stay on the usbstick, or just one time like with the S00custom-options file of the fw?

The auto framerate plugin is really a fantastic enhancement for the WDTV. Please support also the lots of people who stay actually with the Gen1 WDTV and are not planning to invest till WDTV Live 3D.

i think the problem with wdtv gen1 support is, that there is no compatible version of ffmpeg (according to the changelog).

thats correct. the plugin supports gen1 (untested^^), but as long as we dont have ffmpeg for gen1 its not really usefull. b-rad mentioned a gen1 ffmpeg binary should exist, but so far i found none
