Good Morning all,
SO, I am just about to make the switch from my PS3 over to a WDTV Live (with LX firmware, of course!) but had a question about my metadata.
I have around x350 movies, and about x5 complete TV show seasons in my collection, all on a 1TB extranl HD.
Over the past few weeks I have generated complete data (as far as I know) for my collection via Media Center Master as this is what I have used all along, until now ... Using MCM produces the following;
- movie.xml (contains all IMDB info and ratings etc)
- folder.jpg (dvd/blu cover)
- background.jpg
(-background2.jpg, background3.jpg etc - if available!)
(*** I believe the above is the correct output, although cannot check currently as at work ***)
It seems from reading this forum (and all over the web) that I simply will not be able to use this data as is, and will need to convert it somewhat?!
I read that if I use the 'Generate XBMC .xml' sheet from 'Tools' in MCM that it should create something similar to what ThumbGen needs, but what I really want to know is should I just delete ALL my generated metadata so far and start again with ThumbGen? I am a perfectionist so it has to look right - and if I hjave to delete all metadata and start again I will but I would rather not!
Thanks in advance,
G.
