Jumper map for WD TV Live MSP (as of 2011)

Postby rw-op » Wed May 23, 2012 2:17 am

Hello everybody

Just opened and partially disassembled a brand new WD TV Live Streamer, so far so good. I noticed the three-pin connector on the motherboard which I assume is the standard serial conn port = TX/RX/+3.3V. Furthermore, I have this five (?)-pin jumper pin array present on the board. Have searched for the actual "mapping" of these pins, but my searches come up nil.

Is it possible to do a ISP-programming with these jumper pins, or are they intended for other purposes?
Anyone who can explain this ?

Moving to Unrelated since this has nothing to do with WDLXTV or WDTV Gen1/Gen2/Live/Plus.

Sorry for posting in the wrong forum, but I still believe the question is related to WD Live Streaming player and its hardware. Maybe Nitty Gritty would be appropriate?

I moved this here, because we don't support Live Streaming in any way.
That device is pretty locked down by WD and we decided not to touch it nor will we make a WDLXTV version for this device.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying it's not possible to put WDLXTV on Live Streaming but it would cripple your device (no more online services).

I moved this post to unrelated because I want to avoid further confusion. Most people are already confused enough by WD naming policy.
By moving this thread to Unrelated I wanted to underline that this device is not supported by WDLXTV.

Ah I see. Sorry about that! Yeah confusion is the word.
