Problems with USB Hub and "Jump to time" function on Live

Hello everyone,

I'm all new here and read a lot the last days including using the search function, but I couldn't resolve my problems.

I updated my european WDTV Live from the official firmware 1.06.15 to this one "1.05.04_V-WDLXTV-Live-0.5.1.1 [flash] " as in my understanding this was the latest WDLXTV firmware. Everything works so far, my box is updated and is playing stable but there are two things I don't understand.

I just used a USB Hub in ordner to connect three different 2tb-Disks to my box. I can only access one disk and the other two are not recognised. Is this because I use a passive USB Hub without power connector? The three disks are in cases which are each supplied with power so I thought a powered hub is not necessary. Am I connecting it wrong or is a powered Hub needed either way? What do I have to do to connect three disks to my Box running WDLXTV 1.05.04?

The other problem is that I thought I could use some new features on the remote control like jumping to a specific time using the "search" button on the bottom left. But pressing this button does nothing. All other buttons are working in the original way, too. I thought there were those features like jumping to a time or going forward for 1 or 5 minutes with WDlxTV. Why isn't my remote control working as it should with WDLXTV?

I really tried everything and spent hours of reading and searching but I really can't solve these questions. It would be great if anybody could help me.

Non-powered hubs may cause problems, I use a powered hub (with no power supply connected) and never had any issues...

Time jumping features are only available with WDTVExt plugin MediaNavigation which is only available on 1.02.21 based firmwares (eg. 1.02.21-WDLXTV-Live-0.5.1.1).

Thank you very much for your answer. I'm glad that principally my WDLXTV version should support the USB Hubs with several disk attached. So I will try to get another Hub and test it. Thank you also for the information on medianavigator. I wasn't aware this was a plugin and not just implemented in the basic firmware.
