Hi muks.

Thank you for your help. I have done all the Web End stuff and can see the "Config" page.
On the page it says NOT to edit anything on the actual page but to enter the code seperately.
Is this correct?

And also... I have no idea what to type in order to config the WDTV Live to default to - Video Setting "HDMI", Color Space "Auto", Resolution "1080p/60" and Deep Color "12 bits".

Anyone know for sure what I need to do in the Config Page? :?:

Sorry for all the questions but I'm a bit of a noob and had a recent bad experience upgrading the firmware on my Oppo bluray player which ended up with me losing my multi-region ability. :(

Hiya,

Yes, I have tried that and it seems to revert back to "PAL" and "Composite" when I reboot it.

Weird... why would this firmware set the video settings to that setting????

Any other ideas?

Maybe I should try and re-load the firmware again? :?:

Thanks guys.

Should I "re-boot" via the player or web end after making changes and saving them? Or is that not necessary?

Cheers guys.

I'm pretty sure someone already asked, but i'll ask again; is there any chance for new custom release based on official latest version 1.06.15? I'm missing option for disabling aac codec throuhg optical output in a/v options which is implemented in mentioned official version.

No, because 1.06.15 is too buggy.

Hmm, didn't know that. Too bad, anyway, thank you for reply.

care to post some evidence on the claim that 1.06 is "too buggy" ?

ive been using it for quite a while and it performs better than anything
released prior to it.

Just installed this firmware (first time user) when I click on AppManager it takes ages to load up a screen then doesnt offer me anything to install or otherwise, is something wrong, or am I expecting too much?

Im looking to install some umsp plugins and such, this *seems* to be the intuitive way to do it.
