Folder.jpg_sheet.jpg issue with Linksheets

Hi,

Currently on 1.05.04 / 0.5.1.1 firmware with all my media xmounted to a microserver running WHS 2011.

I've been using moviesheets via link sheets but had never fully finished them for everything - primarily due to a lack of time.

Everything worked until recently, then I broke my hip when I fell of my bike .

Plenty of sitting down followed and I decided to finish the movie sheet creation process, aside from a few issues with finding tv shows (another thread perhaps) everything seemed to be well.

What I did start to discover though was that the season sheets/folder sheets were not appearing in certain folders and a moviesheet would be displayed in its place.

From investigations hereI believe this is due to an issue with the link sheets script?? Or is it a naming convention issue.

Anyway I discovered that using folder.jpg_sheet.jpg appeared to resolve this problem, however I have since had issues when running the link sheets command via telnet and now no moviesheets are appearing when I switch on the wee box. They do come back once I run the linksheets command via telnet.

Before I used the folder.jpg_sheet.jpg approach I had also tried MSHEETDIR but that didn't resolve the folder sheet issue either.

I'm now stuck with what to do.

It appears the next firmware update (if ever) could resolve or the new linksheets script could do the trick - unfortunately I'm not that hot at the command line etc....

Is there anything else I could/should be doing to fix this?

I had the same issues with TV Sheets that you did, and found that renaming files and folders properly did the trick. It was not enough that file names were unique, more changes had to be done. Often I found that the last episode sheet alphabetically became the season sheet of unrelated TV series.

this problem is created by a known bug in the linksheets script

there's a new faster fixed version of linksheets in this forum, if you've got the skills you can use that
otherwise it should be in the next release

Worked around it using ZZs and renaming stuff.

Will wait for the new firmware when it comes as i'm more likely to balls it up trying to go over to the new linksheets script...

Hi Nodds -- what are "ZZs"? I tried the workarounds that popped into my mind but nothing worked.
