new live plus how not to kill netflix?

Postby michaelrj » Fri Apr 06, 2012 3:15 pm

I am getting a new live plus and want to know the correct way of upgrading the firmware from stock without much trouble or killing netflix and going through the fix it get it back working.

I know upgrading to the latest firmware will kill netfix.
I saw how to backup the config folder but all I will have is the stock firmware when I get it so I cant backup the config folder or ftp it over to save it.

What is the best way of doing this?

Thanks

first on official firmware if this is a new box don't upgrade the firmware

just set up netflix and make sure it works

once it works you should be able to flash WDLXTV without any issues
at least I'm not aware of any

I know this was talking about having an older version of b-rad's firmware already installed then upgrading to the newer version it would mess up netflix. I thought it would still mess it up from a fresh install too?

Thanks.

the issue is caused by installing official firmware version 1.06.16_B

as long as you don't install that there are no issues with netflix, that I'm aware of
