I had this entry in my net.mounts file in my USB stick and it worked fine in my previous firmware:
xmount 10.41.57.22:/nas/NASDisk-00004/Movies Movies nfs

For some reason the above doesn't work on the new firmware.

please provide following logs:
df
ls -al /tmp/conf/
ls -al /tmp/media/usb/USB* -R | head -50
cat /tmp/messages.txt | grep mount

make sure you have only one copy of net.mounts in /tmp/conf !!!OR!!! /tmp/media/usb/* never in both locations.
i suggest to move it from usb to /tmp/conf then reboot then collect logs

I got the NFS mount problem fixed. I saw a sample xmount command from another thread.

I changed mine from:
xmount 10.41.57.22:/nas/NASDisk-00004/Movies Movies nfs

To this:
xmount 10.41.57.22:/nas/NASDisk-00004/Movies Movies nfs ro,vers=3,rsize=32768,wsize=32768,hard,proto=udp,timeo=7,retrans=3,nolock,addr=10.41.57.22

It's funny that my original xmount command worked fine on a different firmware but had to be changed for this firmware. Oh well...everything is working again.

Thank you!!!

glad to that. please also consider removing

from /tmp/media/usb/USB1/048C-0CF5/.wdtvext-plugin

as those plugins are included in frmwr and would collide.

also it is not really flex to have nas volumes ro mounted.

for synology nas i have mount as follow:
xmount 192.168.1.12:/volume1/pub bubik nfs rw,hard,intr,tcp,nolock,vers=3,rsize=32768,wsize=32768

Thanks for the additional suggestions!

I got my NAS ro mounted cuz I've got kids in the house. I don't want them accidentally deleting stuff when they play around with the WDTV remote control.

As I see there are Synology users around, just to let you know there is a new Windows Phone app : DS finder to monitor the status of your Synology DiskStation :)

rw mounted shares have been known in some cases to cause SCOD

because of that if the xmount cmd does not specify rw the share will be mounted as ro

As long as the NFS server handles the "nolock" option properly you should be fine. However if you encounter SCOD first thing to do is switch to ro and see if that helps.

these are over year verified parameters used with syno ds211 with dsm3.2 os. ~83Mb/s speed. however for other hardware might not work. mostly depends on nfs implementation. syno don't like udp for example.

btw, have you checked how many steps is needed to delete file using remote? :P
unlikely happen by "accident". but if you're not using subtitles then fine.
