I have a question about movie sheet. This might have been asked for many times but can't figure it out how the movie sheets work. How do you get rid of folder list? Below is the screen shot of the movie sheet:

Hi

I just installed this firmware but i don't know if i did something wrong but i don't really see any apparent change from the 1.06.xx that i had installed fm the official site

all these features like web, shoutcast, etc are not there, where should i be looking

frankly all i see is a different background and all else is identical with the official version... i've checked every single thing that appears and there is nothing new

so did i do something wrong?

or i also need the non-flash software to be able to use the extra features?

I have a wdtv live gen1 and i isnstalled this firmware mostly for the shoutcast, which i don't see in the 'internet media' :?

pls help

Since I flashed this firmware, I am restricted in functionality to the horizontal forward/backward, power and OK button on my remote control, the other buttons dont work anymore, but everything works fine when I use the webend remote control or an app of my smartphone which uses telnet commands via eiri.

Did you have this issue already before?

Can I disable it by the webend interface or do I need to ssh in and execute some command(s)?

Bytheway, maybe I understand what is wrong (after a couple of restore...): the problem is present only if I select the deep sleep option. Am I the only ones?

This is a problem of the original 1.05.04 firmware. After upgrade to 1.06.x, it will be fixed. So we must wait until a new WDLXTV-firmware will be released with a new core firmware.

I have the same problem. :(

Hi people!

I've been trying to run the non-flash version of the firmware, but the WD gets stuck at the boot logo forever. I already have read the instructions in http://wiki.wdlxtv.com/USB_Boot, and this is not the first time I try a non-flash version... I really don't know what's happening with this particular one.

I copied the root.bin file to the root of the 1TB USB disk I have attached to the WDTV. The disk is formatted in ext3, and it's the only disk connected to the device (I have also an USB wifi-dongle connected to the 2nd USB port).

The WDTV starts to boot, and gets stuck at the WD logo. I left it for several minutes (more than 10'), and nothing happened. Tried several times. If I rename the boot.bin file (so it's not recognized), the WDTV boots normally. So its seems that the root.bin is being found, but cannot be loaded, or something.

The filesystem is clean.

This is a WDTV Live, and it's running 1.03.49_V_WDLXTV.COM_WDLXTV_LIVE-0.4.7.3

Any ideas? it's possible to debug the boot process? Am I missing something obvious?

Thanks for your help!

I'd recommend flash a newer firmware first

then try it again
