Thanks for your help. I run synology nas with the media server. on the wdtv I select media server, diskstation and then the Video Folder. I looked and read that xmounting info but could not figure it out?

- folder.jpg 63kb
- Kung Fu Panda 2.jpg 63 kb
Kung Fu Panda 2.mkv
Kung Fu Panda 2.mkv.tgmd
Kung Fu Panda 2.mkv_sheet.jpg 218kb
Kung Fu Panda 2.nfo 7kb
Kung Fu Panda 2_sheet.jpg 218kb

This is normal. going back and forth probably re-launch the linksheet script to parse your network share again.
I had similar behavior before I switched to the MSHEETDIR.

The names seem ok.

What are the file size and picture size of the thumbnails
- folder.jpg
- Kung Fu Panda 2.jpg
?

In the osd, you're in thumb view right? (choices are : list, thumb, preview).
So you see 7 thumbs at the bottom, but instead of showing the folder thumbs, it show the default thumb logo?

Do you access your share via LOCAL_DRIVES -> USB -> MOVIES (if you xmounted your share)?

Try this:
- put 1 or 2 movies on a USB key and access them locally to see if both folder and file thumbs show up.
- remove all .wdtv folder from the root of the drives where your movies are. This wil discard any thumb caching problems.

Moviesheets will not work with Mediaservers! They never did.
They work with Local Drives and Network Shares.

I am not using Movie Sheets I am using Linksheets. They are working perfectly, accept for the thumbnails. If I access the network share it shows all the files in the folders.

network share is not the same as media server

and to get rid of the extra files appears, xmount your shares

Thanks Kad, I am not quite understanding the xmount part. I mapped to the nas on my pc -\\192.168.1.236\video , to do that I had to enter the id / pw for the nas.
I read the stuff about xmount but got lost.

I am not using Movie Sheets I am using Linksheets.

Sorry but that's bs.
Linksheets is one of two methods for displaying Moviesheets. The other method is ExtSheet but both methods are Moviesheets! :ugeek:

The reason for renaming MovieSheet plugin to ExtSheet plugin was to clearly separate the methods (linksheets/ExtSheet) from the feature (Moviesheets).

Hallo,

I have linksheets working on my wd tv plus. My FW is FW Base: 1.05.04 0.5.1.1. In my moviefolder are the sheets, covers and the movie.

moviefolder
{
movie.mkv
movie_sheet.jpg
movie.mkv_sheet.jpg
folder.jpg
movie.jpg
}

On restart the sheets were found and displayed but the "wrong" ones. In the folder where all moviefolders are stored, the wd shows the movie.mkv_sheet instead of the movie_sheet.jpg. In the moviefolder is no sheet figured. I also had a look into the msheets folder, where the wd copied the sheets and i think the name convetion might be right ( movie, movie.mkv).

So where is the mistake? Can anybody help me?
Thanks for your Help!

I think what you've found is an already known bug in the linksheets script

there's a perl version of linksheets in this forum, which you can use, if you know how (not a noob task)
or
wait for a new firmware release, which will include the new version of linksheets
