is there a guide on how to use it?
i try to not have the normal ffwd because this does not work on my hd .ts files. i would like to skip for n seconds on each keypress and hope the plugin will allow this

is there a difference between v4 and v2 (except it being a newer version)?

Hello all.

I have the version 1.02.21 0.4.7.3 and loaded the medianavigationV4 Plugin from the WDTV Menu.
But the Media Mark is not working. Must i set a new folder for that or not?

Also the last time i could say in the ds-lite menu that it should automaticly save the point when stop the film/file.
Is that mayby a new version or where can i set that?

just a question, but i dont know if it is a problem the plugin can fix:
when ffwd/rew on a hd .ts mpeg file from my dreambox, when pressing play the playback is not starting at the place i have seen on the screen before.
i thought medianavigation fixed this, but it is the same:
i enter 05:00 as start position and i come out for example at 06:00 when playback starts.
it also seems to work with sd .ts files (or at least it is not as obviously wrong there).

all works with avi divx files. any idea wheather this is fixable from the plugin side?
if not, where would be the corret place to post for it to be possibly fixed in firmware?

The way the navigation feature works is by sending a timestamp to the player to jump to. The player closed source code has to analyse the file and decide where the 5 minute mark is. This usually implies jumping to some offset inside the file, where the expected data is. If it jumps to some other place in time, the problem is in the closed-source code from WD and is not fixable by this plugin.

@rened77: there is a known bug with MediaMark in 0.4.7.3 which breaks it. Search the thread for it and see how to fix it, or upgrade to 0.5.1.1 where it is fixed.

But i dont understand that only 2000 people load that version?
Is it not so stable or does not every one has that bug?

0.5.1.1 has been out on non-official channels for a few months. I consider it pretty stable so there is no risk in upgrading. I don't know why people are staying on 0.4.7.3 (it has a few well known bugs and the fixes are documented on the forum) with the exception of not knowing there's a newer version available.

I tried to upgrade to 5.1.1 but it dont work.
The WDTV stays at 0%.
I tried both downloads. What could i do?

coming back to medianavigation... i just found out that medianaviagtion is somehow also able to handle epg data etc?

how far is that development and is there some kind of documentation for that?

i found this out when searching for a good way to use epg data from my dreambox (enigma2 dvb receiver with webif) and displaying it.
maybe it would be possible to use these features in medianavigation plugin and "feed it" data from the webinterface of the dreambox?

I cant get the MediaMark running. I searched everything, but mayby my english not that good!
You say i should make a folder on my HDD. But how? What must i write in "Path to MediaMark logfile" in Webend?

"/temp/usb/mediamrk" or what? I tried severel solutions but it dont work.
