Hi, I installed the 1.05.04 based WDLXTV-firmware yesterday after having used the 1.02.xx based firmware. I really like the 1.05.04 based version a lot better. It has all the good things of the original firmware plus goodies like YouTube HD and the great WebEnd-Interface. Thanks to all the developers working on this version!

1.05.04-0.5.0.0 is OK, had to downgrade.
Could it be a bug only in the pre-release version? Or maybe it has something to do with

* ntfs-3g removed from automagic filesystem detection (b-rad)

Same issue for me aswell. I found that downloads would show as complete, but on verifying them chunks of the files were found to be missing. Reverting to 0.5.0.0 solved the problem.

I have a problem with the 5.1 DTS sound.
With the original firmware there was a option in the menu for HDMI-Trough-pass.

with 1.05.04_V-WDLXTV-Live-0.5.1.1 [flash] This is option is gone and there is only a Digital pass-trough option or Digital pass-trough via optical only.

I have my WDTV live connected like this. [WDTVlive]-----hdmi-----[TV]----optical-----[Receiver]

At first I thought it maybe the specsific files which I'm using, but that's not the case.
I downgraded to the original firmware: "wdtvlive_1.06.15_V officiele firmware"
Then I can just go into the sound/video menu and select HDMI passtrough and everything works fine.

Is there some setting I need to set in the WDLXTV firmware or is this a bug or something?
I'm lost.....

I have had this issue even before the latest upgrade. I have to connect the wdtv-live to my receiver directly in order to receive the DTS signal. Could it be an issue with my TV not passing through the DTS bitstream? Any suggestions will be v helpful.

Thanks!

i am with trouble to share a folder with a NFS server. I follow this http://wiki.wdlxtv.com/Sharing_from_OSX but i can not see the folder in the wdtv.
I am getting permission denied when i run the amount command in telnet.
I run this:
xmount 192.168.1.104:/users/brandaopj/Shared Shared nfs "proto=tcp"

I am using a mac and the ip address is from mac.

Is there any option or something that must be done in this new firmware?

Don't double post, read the wiki about xmounts, especially the troubleshooting section.

I'm on 1.02.21-WDLXTV-Live-0.4.7.3 because AFIAK it's the latest version that supports wdtvext plugins and moviesheets+ 2.0+ which are the only extra features of wdlxtva/wdtvext I use atm.

Is there a later firmware version that supports this?

There's a 0.5.1.1 release with a BaseFW of 1.02.21, check in the Firmware Releases forum.

I think I'm missing something really simple here, hoping someone can point me in the right direction.
I have set up Hanewin NFS Server and ran xmount as directed in the wiki. I am able to access the mount and its files from shell on WDLXTV, but the folder is not showing up as a local drive on the GUI.

Thanks and Happy New Year to all in advance!

Code: Select all
# df -k .
Filesystem                Size      Used Available Use% Mounted on
192.168.1.100:/3D_Movies
                        931.5G    865.1G     66.4G  93% /tmp/media/usb/3DMovies

yeah, you didn't read the carefully, you must have a usb drive (thumbdrive etc) plugged in to have the local drives menu available
