composite aspect ratio not sticking between reboots

Postby stanelie » Tue Dec 27, 2011 7:55 pm

Hello.

I sadly still use my WDTV-Live in composite mode on a 4:3 TV.

Whenever I reboot my player running firmware version 1.05.04_V-WDLXTV-Live-0.5.1.1, the aspect ratio setting reverts to "widescreen" instead of "normal".

This did not happen with earlier WDLXTV firmwares that I have used in the past. Any ideas?

Edit: I tried a factory default reset to see if it would help, it didn't.

(also, sidenote, the overscan fix is not working either, I posted about it here (http://forum.wdlxtv.com/viewtopic.php?f=48&t=916&start=30#p51489), but it should really be here in the bugs section...)

Moving topic.

1) post does not comply with the rules for bug reports
2) unlikely to be a wdlxtv bug, since we have no control over the video ouput mechanisms
3) the mentioned overscan fix only works with WDTVExt, hence only works with 1.02 based firmwares

ok,

Thanks, I assumed the overscan feature would work since it's there for me to adjust in the options.

I have exactly the same problem with 1.05.04_V-WDLXTV-Live-0.5.1.1. After each reboot the aspect ratio setting is back in widescreen mode, although the option still says "normal". I have to switch it to "widescreen" and back to "normal" to turn it back to normal.

With the official firmware (1.06.15) it works fine.
