there seems to be an error in the new MSHEETDIR handling and detection...
I will try to track that down on the weekend.

Code: Select all
# grep msheet /tmp/messages.txt
Dec 31 16:01:12 WDTVLIVE user.notice S67msheet: base /msheets:/osd aufs mount initializing

Code: Select all
# cat /tmp/MSHEETDIR
/msheets#

this is the situation after starting, not having linksheets and then running the linksheet command manually.

in your S00custom file, put all of these lines in it in the SHEET section (for consistency but doesn't matter), this worked for me.

Finally got it to work copy and pasting these lines into the file. I had been so frustrated with this earlier that I had just given up on it, I appreciate the help!

why are you running linksheet manually, that's a big no no with MSHEETDIR, allowing linksheets to scan while MSHEETDIR is mounted will corrupt your MSHEETDIR
1. if you MSHEETDIR is on a drive that does not support symlinks, your sheets get deleted
2. if you MSHEETDIR is on a drive that supports symlinks the sheets get replaced with synlinks that point to nowhere

DONT run linksheets when using MSHEETDIR
