mkvmerge -o <output.mkv> <input.mkv>

Hi, I want to try and use this app, but how am I supposed to know which version to use? I have some large MKV movies that I've tried using MKVMerge and MKV Fix on and neither seemed to work. The movies still intermittently freeze up as they play back. Will this app automatically fix the compression of the file. I don't quite understand how it is supposed to work. Could you please help me understand this better?
Thank you very much!

Hi,
the version without header compression, is for Firmware 1.02.21 and lower ... because this firmware doesn't support header compression.
Usage is very simple,
- put the app bin on your usb device and restart the box
- login via telnet or ssh
- change to the folder which contains the mkv
- type in mkvmerge -o <output.mkv> <input.mkv>
If you are using firmware 1.03.49 or higher, you can use the version with header compression the same way as i told you.
regards Stefan
