Hi recliq, nice work on LIRC + the kernel module. I actually have it working with an XBOX DVD IR receiver and remote (the ati kernel module has support for this, I only had to reconfigure lircd.conf with the remote codes).

The only problem I have been having is the modules are not automatically loaded on boot. I have to manually go into the /apps/lirc_x10/lib/modules/2.6.22.19-19-4/ directory and insmod the modules. Is there a way for me to get this to happen automatically? It is kind of a pain to insmod the kernel modules manually each time I reboot the wdtv.

thanks!

A bug was recently fixed related to app.bin kernel modules handling.

You should create an S99user-script file in /conf, and put your insmod there to work around it.

Editing the S99user-script file and adding the insmod commands worked perfectly. Will by chance the app.bin kernel module handling bug fix be released in the next version of WDLXTV?
