if you've adjusted any of those xml's from wdlxtv stock, then you might have to change the offsets a bit to match your theme.

Looks GREAT! Looks like lots of work and time. Am I right in that this is not compatable with Live Plus and that will be upcoming in the next installment?

correct, currently it is not compatible with live plus, I'm looking into the possibility of making this compatible with newer live firmware and then live plus would follow after that

Hi guys!
After hours, I cant anymore. I finally(!) made it to the EYE CANDY background but no fancy pictures. No cars, no yoda, nothing. The frame is red, the middle colored.
"Internet Media" has NO icon. The rest has nice icons.
There are no moviesheets. Everything is normal, but the nice red background.
The menu "WDTVExt plugins" doesnt exist at all.

And the worst new thing: I cant turn off the info bar during the movie, its ALWAYS turned on.


I dont know what WDTVEXT is, i dont know how to install or use. Maybe thats the problem.

Please help me and please, dont do it too complicated. I am not a mothertongue, neither english, nor mechanics.

EDIT: i created the ".wdtvext-plugin" folger and put the moviesheet folder in it.
i rebooted and now even most of the icons are gone in the menu. nothing else changed, no new menu for enable something.
btw: i have done NOTHING at all in the s00custom.

EDIT2: I turned off the power and restarted. Good thing: all icons but "Internet Media" are back now.
The most annoying part is the info bar, because now i cant even watch any movie.

What firmware version are you running (exact version with base fw version and wdlxtv version, not "latest version")?

everything you describe sounds like you are running the wrong wdlxtv version (1.03 base fw)
wich lacks:
- wdtvext
- compatible osd mods

Thank you very much for the help. Sorry to annoy with a often asked question, but really all together it took me more than 10 hours to get this far.

Im using:

"WDLXTV-Live – The extreme upgrade"
The File is called
"1.03.49_V_WDLXTV.COM_WDLXTV_LIVE-0.4.5.3"

System Info says the same.

Yesterday I took off the Usb Stick and im quite sure EYE CANDY still worked. Now, I did the same and im back to the usual screen. I can watch movies without info bar so far, thats good. The OSD is the not-so-fancy-one again.

Maybe ill tell you what ive done so far:

1. Extreme Upgrade on Stick.
2. Install on WDTV Box.
3. Its running fine.
4. Put EYE CANDY on stick and "installed".

Thats pretty much it. During my experience i tried to downgrade and "install" some other stuff, all without any success. The box did nothing and nothing changed. Still same Version.
