First let me say...wow. very nice and just what I was looking for.

Only question is how do you change the images.....just upload to folder and rename?

thanks

yep
my preference would be to name the file correctly, then FTP the replacement to the folder
but it is just simple replacement of the images in the MENUSHEETDIR
so whatever will work

KAD

Speaking of changing images, I am using a plugin to set my youtube and pandora as home page icons. What would I name those (adding to the MENUSHEETDIR file) to be able to change the image from the default to my own choice?

well, I'm at work atm but

youtube.jpg
pandora.jpg

if you check the folder MENUSHEETDIR

you just replace the existing image, the existing image will have the correct name on it

Right, the images can be changed for the normal locations of Pandora or Youtube when they are under Music or Video directories. But when the icons are on the homepage they don't change when using those names.

if that still doesn't work, insert this at line 41,42,43 of the .js script
and reboot
Code: Select all

<text text="@@selectedTitle" x="50" y="330" w="768" h="20" textcolor="0xe2e2e2" align="left" fontsize="18"/>
<text text="@@selectedFile" x="50" y="380" w="768" h="20" textcolor="0xe2e2e2" align="left" fontsize="18"/>

It will place this debug info on screen and display the file name it's looking for on the screen

Very kewl KAD. Unfortunately I only got to try it for a very short period. It caused MediaMark to no longer work or at least to display the check mark. It also messed up my time which reverted back to 31 Dec 1999 which as I found out earlier this week is caused by an app.bin located on the root of my drive....It also caused and error to be displayed when I reboot via Putty. I had this before when ever I had a app.bin on the root of the drive.

I removed EyeCandy and all is back to normal.

Too bad....Maybe B-Rad will incorporate this with his next release of custom firmware.

@RavRob,

I'm sorry to hear that, since I don't use MediaMark, I've never tested with it, but I'll try and look into it
as for the errors
I don't see how Eye Candy can effect the system date or reboot functions, but I will try to reproduce the errors and see what I can find out

theres no way this plugin could affect IPUP and NTP.

theres also no way i'd add a plugin to the firmware which requires 141 decent sized images/menusheets :lol:

It is causing the same problems I had posted before. So if this is not causing the problems then something else is when I use this plugin.

All is working great now so I won't go looking for problems but this tells me there are still problems on my system.

No worry...as B-Rad said, this can't be causing the problems. I must have something else on my system making this happen. However, my system is working the very best as it is since I first got it so I won't go looking. I'll leave well enough alone. But your EyeCandy is totally awesome. Good work.

hey no prob :D

I'm glad you enjoy the mod, I'm really trying to get a new version out by end of month, I've done so many xml edits this week, it's crazy, LOL

Media mark could still be something for me to look into. I think b-rad was just stating the IPUP/NTP and reboot issues are not releated.
