My pictures are 1280X800
Works perfect.

pictures should be 1280x720 since this is the display resolution the OSD runs internally, no matter if you run 1080p on HDMI... (all other will be scaled or cropped)

I have a question regarding your plugin (can help on the TransmissionOsd plugin I'm trying to develop - http://forum.wdlxtv.com/viewtopic.php?p=34392#p34392 ):
In the ToolsPlugin.prototype.osdInfo function I found some variables set with Page.Top.setParam not defined in the .XML file (like "info_bar_cas_msg", "status_icon", etc), although they give output messages anyway. Are they defined internally in the WDTVExt firmware files? I mean, something is inserted on startup and defined when needed by any plugin with the proper Page.Top.setParam statements.

They are variables from the original .xml files and not added by the plugin.
Have a look at /osd/villa_home.xml (and the files it includes) you should find these variables in there

actually I've already done this. And it works.
What I do not understand, at the moment, is what's wrong with similar functions (called on a Menu - OK button pressed), but written by me.
So I had to rely on the osdInfo function that now I understand is already defined somewhere else.

Too bad... still a lot to learn.

I just flashed WD TV LIVE and Tools Menu is not installed. I can't seem to find it on any of the Plugin menus. How do I install the Tools Menu?

1. create a folder .wdtvext-plugins in the root of your usb drive
2. reboot
3. Go to WDTVExt plugins -> Download -> Tools Plugin in menu
4. reboot
