Hello :) Happy New Year to all!!

With new year - new fresh compilation. Transmission 2.13 is ready to download:

Works great on 0.4.5.3. Not a single glitch as far as I can tell... And the webinterface benefits from the update to 2.13... yeeee!

Dzienki, stary!

Hello everybody. Some help would be appreciated. I'm not a total noob with wdtv, but still a noob. I've been using for months now the 1.02.21_B-RAD.CC_WDLXTV_LIVE-0.4.2.0, but today I upgraded to the lastest version (0.4.5.3). Since deluge is out and rtorrent is unstable (never tested it but i trust the "reviews"), I decided to get Transmission instead. Got it up and running. I have only one noobish question: How can I modify the settings.json file (and to remain that way at reboot)?

What I've tried so far:
1. downloading the file via ftp, modding it with notepad2 with the desired values, saving it and uploading(and replacing) back the file - has no effect at all
2. telnet into the box then nano -w /apps/transmission/config/settings.json , making modifications and saving the file - well it saves the file with the new settings, but has no effect in the web interface. at reboot the settings.json file gets back to the original state (no good).
3. tryied to chmod 777 the file via telnet client in wdtv webend - no effect (cannot chmod).

So how can I edit the settings.json file?

Thank you in advance.

*Edit* - Solved

Found the solution to my problem. As a noob, I made the mistake of not stopping the daemon before making any changes to the settings file.

Still...I have another question: is there any way I can make the torrents automatically recheck and resume/reseed the torrents, in case of a power failure for example? If I reboot the box while torrents are downloading/uploading, after the reboot I get the "Error: No data found! Reconnect any disconnected drives, use "Set Location", or restart the torrent to re-download." I know that manually "Verifying Local Data" and then manually "Resuming" works. Just looking for an automation of the process.

player_sct : I am using NTFS now. But is the filesystem related to:
1. the "automatic recheck and resume" question of mine?
or
2. with the previous *solved* settings.json file?

After a little google-ing, i found the entire settings of transmission client, but I guess they need to be implemented in the app.bin. For example, and still regarding the automatic recheck of torrents, will the possible future implemented settings of watch-dir and watch-dir-enabled : true, fix this matter?

I'm guessing these settings are not implemented yet, cuz I tried adding these 2 lines in the settings.json and the daemon won't ever start.

Thanks.

Edit: For dzooky : - I am using latest flash firmware (0.4.5.3) and everything works fine (so far). I'm using Mozilla Firefox to acces 192.168.X.X:9091
