having trouble installing 4.3.1 . I found out from an earlier post that I did not wait long enough for the 4.2 versions to kick in. I have the 4.2.3 installed, and wanted the 4.3.1 so I can have moviesheets. I have the 4.3.1 on my usb drive, and rebooted the player . When everything restarted, 4.2.3 is still showing in teh about screen. It does say update firmware though, from the previous posts, it appears you should not do that. Thanks for the help

May be a stupid question but I just flashed my Plus to 0.4.3.1 mainly to get the external dvd drive capability.
I tried searching but it seems most discussions refer to the regular Live boxes not the Plus versions regarding the USB DVD drive capability. Anyways, I tried having another flash drive or USB hard drive in the other USB port as it seems that is necessary (tried both FAT32 and NTFS filesystems which the Plus sees fine). Tried rebooting several times but cannot see the DVD drive at all.
The readme does state that external dvd drive capability is one of the features. Does anyone have this working?
Do I also need to install DVDMod or CD-Manager? I was under the impression I don't need either with the plus since external DVD drive capability is mentioned in the readme.

Hey - 4.3.1 works perfectly for me, and it updated and started up exactly as it was supposed to on the first try. I don't know what's going on with all these other users and their issues, but it should be (pretty much) the exact same box. I can confirm that some of us aren't having any problems.

B.Rad can you help me with my post on page 3? I changed the version number to a high number on first install now when I do update it says nothing new avaialble though Im on 0.4.2.3

changing the version number in the text file doesnt have anything to do with the internal firmware representation. Write here, exactly, what the version info says in setup->system->about.

Anyone notice that ISO's aren't working. Not working on 0.4.3.2. Just tried it out on a couple of ISO's...

Scratch that... Only certain ISO's... Might be my issue...

ok so i have 0.4.3.1 and everytime i use the config tool in webend and then do a reset i cant log back in to the webend.
i know the connection is there because i can use youtube but no umsp

You might have an invalid value set for APACHE. Log in with telnet, and issue this command:

config_tool -c APACHE='ON'
config_tool -s


Then reboot. Try again using the webend, and rebooting.
