Ok, i finally had some time to have a look at this issue and found the problem.

Try connecting to asterisk with this
Code: Select all
rasterisk -C /apps/asterisk/etc/asterisk/asterisk.conf

I will provide a fixed app.bin shortly when i find some time to re-pack it with patched binaries...

Asterisk binaries try to find config in /etc/asterisk but on wd it should search in /tmp/asterisk, paths need to be patched in binaries.

Yes, this should be possible. In the firmware there is a command called upnp-cmd with which you can start/stop/etc media playback. You can write a dialplan or AGI which executes this to pause the playback. (run upnp-cmd on the shell for a little help)

In case it helps anyone, my voicemail to email is working almost out of the box using this mailcmd in voicemail.conf:
Code: Select all
mailcmd=/usr/sbin/sendmail -t -S [ISP's mail server] -f [my ISP email]

I'm running recliq's 1.6.2.6-1 app.bin on wdlxtv live 0.4.5.3.

well, have you tried the "easy" way?

1. download Optware for Live
2. put opt.bin in the root of an usb drive and plug it into wdtv, reboot
3. install asterisk (1.4, 1.6 or 1.8), use ipkg list to see whats available
Code: Select all
ipkg update
ipkg install asterisk18

:ugeek:
I haven't tested it in deep, but it seemed to basically work out of the box.. it's worth a try.

And yes, i have to admit that compiling asterisk for wdtv can be very annoying, some modules/apps more than others, that's why i didn't include all modules/apps in my release.

As you may recall - I'm not a Linux user, so for me it's more than "annoying":)
