Someone else having problems with transmission? It's freezing my wdtv (completely frozen, no ssh, web, if i watch movie at the same time it freezes too), after a random amount of time (usually about 30 minutes). I've tried limiting max peers to 30, and d/l speed to 1,5Mb/s with no luck, also tried every option on/off with no effect. Switching between the three modes of allocation also doesn't help.
I have two harddisks, and the problem is there with both of them.
I had similar problems with rtorrent, that's the reason i've switched to transmission, but it's the same here...
I didn't had any problems with Deluge, but i know why it's not in the latest fw, and it's a good reason, i'm not whining about it.
I'm on 100Mbit connection, and maybe this has something to do with the problem, but i've limited the speed with no luck.
I've noticed that with deluge (allocation set to compact), even if i download 10 torrents at a time, with a speed of about 2.8-3Mb/s (i think the cpu is capping here, because same torrents are downloading near the max capacity of the 100Mbit line on my laptop), the harddisks are quiet, but with rtorrent and transmission, i'm hearing a lot of hdd thrashing, and these are some really quiet harddisks, i've never heard them before seeking that loudly.
I've found a topic in the popcorn hour forum about transmission. http://www.networkedmediatank.com/showthread.php?tid=36587 But i didn't found a sollution there...
