Hello,

I followed the instruction to install the firmware 2.02.32-WDXTV.
After the file loaded, in the about menu of the WDTVLive, I can see the correct firmware version (2.02.32-WDLXTV).

Then I unplug the usb key and restart.
1) the start time is very too long than the original firmware
2) in the about menu I see the name of the original firmware, why ??

Thanks for your support

because you did not follow the instructions

the thumbdrive must stay plugged in, one of the files you put on the thumbdrive is the firmware
and you're very likely to corrupt various files by unplugging it while it's still running

Oh, yes. I have not correctly read the last line of the instruction.
Sorry.

That mean that the USBkey need to be connected all the time ..??..
Is it normal that the start time is very long ?

Thanks

while all things equal that's alot more happening to boot WDLXTV compared to official firmware

now that said, things are probably not equal, meaning if you use a really slow thumbdrive, then it will definetely take longer
I use a relatively fast usb3, and I don't notice any boot delays, etc ....

Hi.

Thanks for the good work on this release.
Sure my Gen3 it's better now.
One thing that would be great to add in new releases is MovieBox or PopCornTime feature.
Is this even possible?
Thanks.

Hello,

1st : sorry for my english, it's not my language ;)

Last saturday, i install this custom firmware on my WD TV Live.

After this installation, i made a back to factory default setting.

Now, i can't configure my Wifi.

When i'm on this screen (capture found on internet) :

I can't enter my security password, after chosing any caracter, when i press Ok (to select it), it's like i press submit.

Anyone have a solution?

Thks

Edit : I found a solution.

I put my WD TV live on my network with a cable (wired network).

Trough the web interface, i use the virtual remote to choose select by clicking on ok.

This problem does not appear, with the keyboard of netflix application.

this is a known issue of not putting your device back into normal operating mode

this is part of why, there is a batch file
win-homebrew-stockify.bat

run it, to put your device back in stock operating mode

Sorry, i don't understand "stock operating mode".

Does it means, that after executing this BAT file, my device will run under the custom firmware or the official one?
