osd file information

Postby nosix » Thu Dec 15, 2011 12:21 pm

I am not sure if this is even possible but it would be nice to see some sort of information about a video/audio file as it's being played on my tv. The info I would like to be able to see on the screen would look something like this.

Ideally it would be shown in some sort of overlay box while the video is playing, but if that is not possible then maybe on the file selection screen when a file is selected.

Again, I am not sure this is even possible, but with the tools like FFMpeg and MKVToolnix I would guess something could be put together right ? If a plugin / addon already exist for this purpose then it would be great if someone could point me in the direction of it and thx for taking the time to view this thread. Any feedback would be welcome.

It's possible with 1.02 based firmware and a WDTVExt plugin.
