You might have an invalid value set for APACHE. Log in with telnet, and issue this command:

Code: Select all
config_tool -c APACHE='ON'
config_tool -s

Then reboot. Try again using the webend, and rebooting.

Great, that worked for me as well! :D

On next reboot do your thing a couple times to get all the messages, then ftp in, download /tmp/dmaosd.log and post it somewhere.

The log will get large fast so you should disable it when you're done:
Code: Select all
config_tool -c DMAOSD_DEBUG=0

Forget it B-Rad.
I've changed back to 1080p manually again and.. i don't know why, but it's working...

So... forget it :P

Netflix is working indeed.

Also the audio issue that was happening where netflix was losing audio is also resolved.

Movie sheets are working great!

I do have a question about movie sheets. I remember back on the regular WD TV LIVE, sheets worked on local drives and only on network connections if you mapped the network shares.

Currently, my local drive has perfect movie sheets and I have noticed that the first time I went into network connections...I had movie sheets! Now they occasionally work and mostly not. Are they even supposed to work on network shares (without mapping them)? Awesome if they are and I'd be interested in the trick to get them working consistently.

Other than that, as far as I'm concerned this is a rock solid release. I'll be donating again soon.

I haven't installed 0.4.3.1 yet but I'm looking forward to doing so this weekend (after much needed yard work lol)

I to will be donating again soon :)

This project is awesome and goes so far beyond the original firmware.

Keep up the great work B-rad! Awesome job!

I was wondering if Netflix Canada is working yet on the wd live +?

I remember reading some older posts within another thread, stating it wasn't working....

If not, I would assume that its because it was only recently launched here in Canada, and that it will take a bit of time for WD to implement the new netfilx code on their end to include the Canadian Netflix server.

If it is working - then great! Defiantly can't wait!

I'm new to this, so I applogize for the basics of the question. I origionally upgraded the firmware with a USB drive as I was informed by a freiend and as the attached readme files indicated a few versions back. I have been recieving the upgrades right on the box so I have not had the need to use the USB process again. When I originally did the USB upgrade movie sheets were not available, so I did not enable the lines in the options file. Now that the box is upgraded to the current firmware, how do I enable the movie sheets? Do I have to downgrade the firmware, then reupgrade it again with the USB process so I can get an updated S00custom-options file to the box?

Thanks

@zride91,

S00custom-options is just a list of available commands, these commands can be executed by:
telnet/ssh
placing the file S00custom-options are root of drive and reboot
webfront end config - easies in my option

KAD, thank you VERY much for the reply. Unfortunately, everything in the reply is all in greek to me. Is there some documentation somewhere that may help walk me through that somewhere. I've gone through the forum, I did not see anything on it. Sorry, I work with computers and software all day, but this is all completely differnt, and I'm far from a pro. Thanks again for putting up w/ me being so green at this
Actually, I'm sorry, I'm going to take this to the noobie thread and check out the wiki. Thanks

S00custom-options is getting obsoleted by the new web-based configuration interface, which is far more user-friendly. FIgure out the IP address of your WDTV, then access it through http://ip_address/ . Username and passwords are in the README.
