I agree with both of you.

Yes, a lot of the plugins have been abandoned and broken, mostly because of the way data is scraped from those sites (and any change in the site structure can break a plugin). Papastone's inputs are valuable because it can help users see which plugins are still working and which are dead, and can also help developers - maybe some of them are not using the plugins anymore and don't know if they work or not and a friendly message might get them back :)

Also, plugins need a lot of work (but it's fun IMHO). The problem is in the constant maintenance a plugin developer must do if the site doesn't have a standard API...

This plugin belongs to mutulaki. I have only tried to fix it and most of the parts are working now.
I have written the internal code for the following hosts becase hosters plugin also needs some recoding. If mutulaki agrees than the changes can be uploaded to svn.

Now the working hosters are:-
    VShare
    AllMyVideos
    VidSpot
    FileHoot
    VodLocker
    ExaShare
    VideoApi

Not working:-
1) Search
If anybody find more issues just let me know and i will try to fix them.

I will wait for mutulaki's input on this. If I get no response in a few days (haven't seen him around lately), I will upload it to svn

Sorry, I forgot to paste the internal hoster file. it also has to be uploaded to SVN.
