Does it absolutely HAVE to be in UTF-8 format?
I'd like to change the language to ISO-8859-1 but have no idea if it's possible as it's a right to left language.
I see that the G2 supports arabic subtitles, so at least in theory it sounds plausible to me...

you are welcome to try any encoding scheme that you desire, but there is zero guarantee those glyphs & characteristics will exist in the fw font.

Ahh ok, understood. It's specifically Hebrew which I would like to translate it to.
I'll try editing the bin to include Arial Hebrew or something and give it a go.
Thanks b-rad.

@b-rad
Could you make in the first post a zip file that contain all languages (of course always updated)?
About the new firmware (1.02.21-0.4.2.8) I saw that it's based on kernel of official 1.03.40.
Why this firmware is declared as 1.02.21-xxxx ?
Do you need addition translation (strings) for this new firmware based on official 1.03.40?
If the answer is yes could you please post the n3w master english language?

Ok. But the info about kernel 1.03.40 using can create misunderstanding. Thanks for the reply.
I found some problems regarding localization. I sent a PM to you and add a thread in localization page.

Whwere can Ifind the latest version of language withh all updates?
Proposal to make some changes to this thread (on first post)
- Add the link to download the language kit (all updated languages + empty language for new language)
- Add info about current available language (to avoid that someone start to create a language already available)
- define an official translator (and make hios reference) for each language
Of course the archive with languages will update every time with the updates/additions of each official translator

"WDTVExt Plugins"
"User Notice"
"Reboot Now"
"Press OK to select a device and create this directory now."
"For full functionality od WDTVExt plugins, create a Directory on an attached device called: .wdtvext-plugins"
Thanks.
