Another one...
Any method to change track name, autor, genre etc.. on the fly while track is play?
Something like upnp-cmd Set... but without restarting play, only change displayed info on the fly.

that would certainly be of interest to me as well, but I can't think of way to do it without wdtvext

like you've already seen even if a replacement xml was bound on top of an existing one, dmaosd will not refresh that screen and use the new xml till the screen is left and entered again

you can try generating upnp meta but I don't think it will work

Ok. Now need push metadata (genre, artuist, even filename) via DLNA/UPnP to DMAOSD without restarting play... Is it posible?

But for list-mode, not for thumb-mode

No not possible afaik, if this can be done atall you would have to modify the XML file to use the thumb instead of the default images, but I doubt that dmaosd will populate those in list view.

Hi!
Magic "'2:10:20" time limit.. Is it hardcoded anywhere in umsp engine?
Have some strange trouble with my IPTV plugin.
It's stopped (freeze) on ~ 2 hours 10 min from start on one streaming channel (continuously playing)
(Freeze looks like apache problem then fpassthru via local ..proxy.php)

Before coming 0.4.7.3 version and ...._wec.php, info.php mechanism I've seen strings like this

for any plugins described in /conf/umsp.php

Now in 0.4.7.3 and 0.5.x.x there is no need to create this strings and /conf/umsp.php but need ..._wec.php, info.php
So may be 2:10:20 now hardcoded in umsp? Where?

P.S. and some interesting thing..
In old version of iptv plugin 'upnp:length' => '2:10:20', was exist in /conf/upnp.php and can continuously playing more then 24 hours (people says).
In new version no /conf/upnp.php but info.php exist without record about "upnp:length" and its stuck after ~2 hours.
So may be on the contrary I need to force describe 'upnp:length' => '2:10:20' ? but there and how correct?

I don't think the upnp:length parameter is set anywhere by default. Anyway, you should be able to override it in your $retMediaItems, just to be sure.

As far as I know, for live streams the proxy needs to send back a Content-Length HTTP parameter that is usually set to some value (1GB). The media player analysis the data stream, and knowing it will receive only 1GB will only play back up until that limit.
It's possible that with this limit you get only 2 hours of playback....

your right on the money Ady, I messed round wit duration and length when putting together several of the experimental plug-ins but that had zero effect, the only thing that gets things moving is the content-length and its set to an arbitrary CYA value of 1 or 2 GiB

@DJArty bump up the value in the proxy, or take a break and restart your session

BTW, all the entries in conf/umsp.php where pretty much junkers/placeholder examples, and mostly commented for that matter; and I can't see how any of those entries could cross pollinate into a live entry unless they where blindly copied into other folks plug-ins - now that just wouldn't make sense now would it given we, mostly, put a minimum amount of thought and effort into what we're building !

Looks like fresh svn trunk version 1.05.04 - 0.5.1.1 very sensitive to "&" sign in address field of UMSP plugins... On 1.02.24-0.4.7.3 f/w all work good, on 1.05.04-0.5.1.1 f/w from snv see "Empty folder" mess, In umsp-tesp.php all looks good in both versions..
Is it "future" or "bug"?
Example .../umsp/umsp-test.php?plugin=plugin_name&url=http://some.url&level=logos&somekey=key .....
looks like only first "&" accepted normally but other make "empty folder" on WD screen, but normal view on umsp-test.php (and on 1.02.21 screen)
Or may be its "id" related problem for new ver. of UMSP from svn?
