UPDATE
I re-downloaded v4.2.1; however, this time I didn't use the rapidshare-, but the wdlxtv.com-link and after restarting the box with the new files I've now got the folder "available-plugins" as well.

there might be a problem with the rapidshare-link, but probably it was just me who messed things up. thanks for your help, zoster!

i have 4.2.2 normal version installed.

i tried to put umsp-plugins.tgz in /conf folder but nothing happens.

I've noticed that this file doesn't unpack into /tmp/umsp-plugins.

I've extract those plugins (.php from .tgz) manually into the folder and it works (uploaded via ftp)...

After restart :(, because after a powercycle these new plugins desappear (auto delete on reboot ?).

Is it possible to do these plugins will be permanent on /tmp/umsp-plugins ?
or is it possible to change something in some file to configurate new plugins correctly ?

that those files are deleted after power cycle is normal ?
is related is some way folder /usr/share/umsp/available-plugins?

I'd like to know how folders and files are organizate for umsp, because i think there are useless files, isn't :)

Thanks!

How can I create user plugin fot http-streaming without using udp-to-http proxy?

My ISP provide IPTV over http (non UDP).

Hi,

i´m new to this wdlxtv stuff.
I´m trying to (re)enable some UMSP Plugins. First i had the non ext3 fw installed and realised there is no write access. So now i´m using the 0.4.2.2 ext3 boot.
And now i´m confused :)
Where to add new Channels? Do i have to edit /usr/share/umsp/media-items.php to add new channels? Or /conf/umsp.php? Where to place new plugins?

So here is what i have done:

edit /usr/share/umsp/media-items.php and added the new channels
placed the new channel php at /usr/share/umsp/available-plugins/PLUGINFOLDER/PLUGIN.php

Is that the right way adding new plugins with ext3? Should is use /plugins/ instead of /available/plugins?

Thanks :)

Hello,

its me again :) i realised that /usr/share/umsp/plugins/ is resetted after rebooting (pointing to /tmp/!?) . Media-items.php keeps my modified one
So i tried to put my plugin at /usr/share/umsp/available-plugins/, but than the plugin is not working :(

Maybe i need /conf/umsp.php? But where to place the plugins?

Thanks for your help!

Already answered on first post by b-rad:

custom channels have to be added to /conf/umsp.php.

ok i will add them there. I was a little bit confused, cause there are some posts saying "edit media-items.php" and others "use /conf/umsp.php" ;)

Hi SergeyKa,

I'm not sure but I think freeview plugin already in FW 0.4.2.2 receives http-stream.
you could test it by editing the /tmp/umsp-plugins/freeview/freeview.php and changing existing http addresses with your ISP's http address.
see post below for tips:
http://forum.wdlxtv.com/viewtopic.php?f=49&t=431

if it works then you can create your own php file based on the freeview.php file and apply it as described in other posts.

Does custom UMSP Channels work on a Live Plus? I can't upload edit or create any files with file manager. I get errors like:
Dolphin.php 0.1 RC0
There were some errors while uploading.

I also tried adding B-rad's code to S00custom-options with no luck.
Any ideas?
