Well, has anybody tried out this plugin lately? It seems youtube has screwed up and pissed off people with API v2 deprecation, mostly because there are some features which are very difficult to pull off in API v3. One such feature is "New Subscription Videos": https://code.google.com/p/gdata-issues/issues/detail?id=3946

Some people are commenting that the old API has been reactivated (temporarly?). https://code.google.com/p/gdata-issues/issues/detail?id=6333

Can anyone try it out?

I've seen that, thanks. It's doable, but not very efficient - if you have a lot of subscriptions, you'd need to iterate through each one and generate a list. The old API provided the combined list for you. Also, API v3 has a maximum number of API calls rule per project/day, so it would be best to use as few calls as possible. I'll go ahead and implement it in youtube3 and we'll see if youtube comes up with anything better.

Good news and sad news:

1. Sad news: This plugin is officially dead/discontinued. No further developments on it shall be done. It has done its job well in the past 5 years and it can now retire.

2. The good news: Its replacement is here: Youtube3 http://forum.wdlxtv.com/viewtopic.php?f=53&t=9230&p=74638. It should do most of the things YoutubeSubscriptions did, but it uses APIv3 and should work for a few more years (I'm not rewriting it for APIv4 anymore!).

So, you guys can disable YoutubeSubscriptions and enable Youtube3 instead. Further discussion shall take place on Youtube3's support thread. See you there!
