I made a few small changes to the Vimeo plugin to export the description as well. Here's how it looks:

Getting description out of plugins that use an API should be easy - it will be more difficult from plugins that do scraping...

this one will not be as easy as the other stuff

it's an experiemental feature that's in svn

you would have to run svn version of firmware

you'll have to look around the forum for how to
but in a nut shell

boot ext3 version of firmware (write access to everything, i.e. you can completely break the firmware)
then install dev tools app.bin
and run svn updates to change the writable firmware to include the experiental features

Would that give me the 1.05.04 version w/ WDTVExt then also? I'd like to give that a whirl. See what it's like. =)

No, the experimental 1.05 image with WDTVExt support is only available as an ext3 firmware. If I remember correctly, from what I tested, you'll need to get that ext3 firmware, update the UMSP bits from svn and then you'll be fine. I think I still have my bin file (updated) somewhere. Let me know if you want me to upload it somewhere and give you the link

so you'd basically be putting out a new firmware 1.05.04 wit h WDTVext and UMSP bits
I'm sure many many people would want that
off coarse it's been available to anybody with area 51 access for quite some time now

I wonder what the other dev's would think about releasing an ext3 firmware like that
I have no issues
and I think the ext3 image in area 51 is plenty stable

edit: what am I thinking ?
I think I confused this with the new UMSP LAN feature
this should be downloadable via on screen WDTVext menu

UMSP LAN feature if not mistaken does require svn version as mentioned earlier
but maybe a release should still be considered
maybe similiar to the SMP alpha put in "Look At Me"
ie take it or leave it, no guarantees on anything, as it's somewhat not finalized
