** updated 01/06/2013** Plugin: Trailers 2.8

ok so i did an update as you recommended to "1.02.21 WDLXTV 5.1.1" and rechecked, if WDTVext is enabled in the browser-function. Also i know that WDTVext is working because i have another plugin called mediafolder enabled.

Still, when i go to my extern hd and overlay a movie "name (year).xyz" i cannot see anything! :/

do you go into the WDTVext menu and enable the plugin?

does the plugin show under available plugins?

what's the status, enabled/disabled?

yes when i am on my menu i go to wdtvext and then to available plugins and then i see 2 trailer-options:

trailers
._trailers

i tried to enable only one of them and i tried enabling both of them but still it didn't work.

something is really wierd with your set up

There should only be 1 Trailers plugin, and it definitely would not show up named ._trailers

Are you trying to run multiple copies of the plugin

Similar problems at my wd like jeffmaser. Back from holiday and the plugin doen't work anymore. Nothing changed!
I have tried everything but nothing. now - with the 2.3.1. is everything like before... I search by name and i haven't realized that the API has changed
S*** happens - hours for nothing
Everything is fine... thanx for work!!! I have missed the trailers!

I don't think the problems are similiar, since you've actually had the plugin working at one time, and jeffmaster hasn't gotten it to work at all

the api change was a change imdb made specifically to how you can search by name
2.3.1 fixed the plugin so it should now work as normal, in regards to name search

I could make a video of my stuff if you are still willing to help me out with this problem. i would need to know what you need to see in the video!

i guess:
- some special webinterface settings shown
- my mediaplayer in action and the wdtvext-menu
- a view at the usb-stick?

Please help me out here because i cannot imagine a more usefull and amazing plugin than this and i would really love this to work on my wdtv!

I'm certainly willing to help.
Although, my time is limited currently. I've just moved, and I'm still unpacking boxes

some of the basics
needed

full firmware version
Trailers version
a view of the .wdtvext-plugins folder
and I'd recommend a test file with a well known movie, that is available on IMDB

we'll need some log info as well, will post back later
