Hi guys,
back on train for a while. So...
I have finished patching MNv4 code due to new wdtvext js language differencies for next 1.05 fw. Now I have to polish some code since I have patched against my dev version, so this will take some days to follow, but...
If you can help me speeding up process, I have these questions:
- where I can find latest fw I should troubleshoot MNv4 towards and what I have to do to make it boot on my device?
(I have found some links but they're seems to be dated so I'm asking for latest stuff. Not really time to traverse forum posts)
- is there any "commonly accepted" way how to determine WDLXTV version device is running? There are some fw version specific aspects that needs to be addressed, so if we want to have one codebase, this is essential.
- something you can let me be aware within new fw?
then:
- is anyone willing to help me test/debug.troubleshoot dvb (TV) functionality through the way? It was functional already, but my dev version is coming with few new features regarding this, so any help would be great. But please don't ask for support for specific devices, my toolchain for building dvb drrivers is gathering dust and I'm not very into clean it up. So if current drivers I have build work, that's great, if not, that's a pity.
- but if anyone is brave enough to build latest v4l against wdtv linux kernel, then be my guest

[ok. literally, if someone gets it, then I will take You for a dinner in my town when You got eventually here. seriously.]
- I have been reviewing post regarding MNv4 in this forum and so far feasible seems to that I will change 'cue' functionality so only cue for current playing file will be populated (still though I try to rember what was scenario I have designed it this way. there have to be one

).
Personally, I'm using one flac file + cue file which is the best (IMHO) way how to get seamless playback and fluent navigation through the album with help of MNv4.
Basically, although I have now other player and tried many others, current support for 'full flac + cue' is not rivaled anywhere else for me. That's why my WDTV Live is still within my setup.
It's great to be back for some time. Memories

Cheers
T.
If you like my work and want to buy me a bottle of wine, you can do it . Thanks for your support.
