Just a reminder for people upgrading from RC versions - make sure you delete the original RC folder from your usb stick and download the new version from the OSD, because if you download it while running the RC version, not all files will be overwritten and you will not have a full upgrade. It's best to upgrade cleanly.

Now, I have a question - can anyone tell me under which user does MediaNavigation run? I'm guessing it's not root, because I have a NAS mounted and I can't write files to it (I can write as root).
I plan on testing today, but I guess if I make some changes and run some of the commands with sudo, I should be able to overcome this problem.

For weather plugin it should be enabled from PC from webconfig and after reboot then you will have on page for user plugins options for code for your regionand temp C/F.
also NTP (network time) should be enabled with correct timezone.
to edit mn config you should press pause during video and then option, after that you are on your own to change settings...
regards

Great because you made exactly what I needed, a fw with MN abd OSD Mod. ;)
Tonight I will try editing mn options.

Thx.

It's perfect ;)
Changed MN keys and now using it with logitech harmony is wonderful.

I can't correctly configure Weather, because I can't find my city (Piacenza (29100) - Italy), but I had a problema also with the umsp version, because there is a second Piacenza in usa. The author had to put a "city_id" code field to correctly set my city.

I think that this is the perfect firmware for me. :)

Just wanted to let everyone know there is an update on the SVN for this plugin that allows you to select as many subtitles you want to download and will create separate files for each subtitle. Previously, you would get a file called MovieName.Language.ext, now you get MovieName.Language-1.ext (and the index will keep incrementing for each subtitle of the same language).

This change will allow you to download more subtitles for a specific language/movie and see which one matches the actual movie...

To get the changes, Go into the OSD -> WDTVExt -> Update plugins. Make sure you reboot after updating. You still need to exit the movie after downloading the subtitles before they are usable.

Post back problems - if you have any.

Any comments welcome.
Subtile download is not working after new changes in latest MNV4 it was working with MNV4 RC1(investigating issue).
Thanks to everybody that made this possible.
PS
mn.config and mn.resume are in /conf (/tmp/conf) and can be removed from DSlite,
also you can run script toggle rw net shares from DSlite.

Dead link bro. Any chance you can re-up.

Thanks mad_ady for the update on SVN

Thank you zmiki for that bin file.

I downloaded it and replaced the one in the 1.02.21-WDLXTV-Live-0.4.7.3 [flash]
I put all those files on my USB stick and flashed my WD TV Live.
(I downgraded from 1.03.49_V-WDLXTV-Live-0.4.7.3 with the trick on the ver file)

After some tweaking (for some reason I couldn't "Create a directory on USB2" from the Live interface so I created it manually - mkdir), I enabled the MNv4 and tested it on a movie running off my NAS (MyBook World Edition).
Unfortunately, the documentation of MN seems to be scattered all over this forum and elsewhere on the internet and I couldn't make the subtitles feature work (now included in MNv4 if I'm correct).
I tried both the Search and Eject key while playing my movie but nothing happened...

Did I miss something ?
Could it be because I'm playing it off my NAS ? (I read I might need some writing rights on my xmount line)
How can I make sure I have the *final* version of MNv4 and not the RC ?
Thanks for your suggestions !

Hi
AND You dont need directory on USB disk for plugins MNV4 is in the firmware same as MediaMark and weather.
but you need to enable these plugins from web config from the PC.
For Subtitles Download to work on xmounted disk you need to run Toggle RW script.
start watching movie then press search repetedly until ds-lite appears then press OK and OK OK.
after that you can download subtitle on NAS, press search until download subtitle appears then press OK.
If you want only specific languages you have to make file *.sublang in /tmp/conf (telnet to wdtvlive, cd /conf, touch en.ita.hr.sublang for english italian and croatian subtitles)
hope this helps
