Got it. I would like you to turn on debug please.

Step 1:
To do so, open the WebEnd Configuration and on the "Main" tab under the section called "System", please change the "DMAOSD_DEBUG" to "File + stderr".
Save this page.

Step 2:
Then go to the "WDTVExt Features" tab and under the section called "Movies+ Configurations", please change the "MSPLUS_DEBUG" to 2.
Save this page.

Step 3:
Then reboot using the "Reboot WDTV" link under the "System Tools" area on the main screen of the Web Frontend.
If the problem occurs, then press power button on remote to shut off your WD immediately as the log file fills up quickly. Go to Step 4.
If it doesn't occur, then I assume you will press power button to shut off, wait a few seconds, then press power to turn on again.
Per your description below, the issue should defintely happen now.

Step 4:
If you are able to putty/telnet to your WD, I would like you to copy the file called dmaosd.log located in the /tmp folder to your PC and send it to me in an email.

Step 5:
if you can't access your WD directly, click on the "File Manager" located on the main screen of the Web Frontend.
Change the "address" to "/tmp" and the "filter" to "dmaosd.log" Click "apply"

You should see the dmaosd.log file. Click on it and it will open. Depending on its size, it may not look nicely formatted. No worries.
Simply click on the window and press ctrl-a (windows) to highlight all of it contents. Press ctrl-c (windows) to copy the contents and then paste them into notepad on your PC.

Send me the contents in an email.

Stealth3si, I reviewed the log file.

You certainly have quite a few plugins and activities going on here. Good news is that they appear to be working, at least from a loading perspective, including MovieSheets+ plugin.

However, what I see happening is that on the initial boot, a referenced called WDLXTV is mounted in the /tmp/media/usb folder which references your USB1 drive. Normally I would expect this to be a UUID, but it doesn't exist.
The theme is located here by my initial search and the references are made to it via the theme videos, images, etc.

On the second start-up (Power Off/On), there is now a second reference in /tmp/media/usb to your UUID of your USB1 drive and the initial WDLXTV value is empty.
Since the theme was already loaded and has not changed, the inital references it made are not re-loaded and hence fail. I will look to implement a change in 2.0.4 to get around this issue by validating the mounted reference each time you power on (vs. just boot).

Not sure why this is occuring (mount references changing between on/off), but one simple way around this for now would be to change your theme, trailer, playlist, and watched folder to refer to the /tmp/mnt reference which should always be there. In you case this looks like it would be /tmp/mnt/E438-A5D2/. Ensure early mount is enabled (which I think you said was). Give this a try to see if it resolves the issue. Note that the full reference will be required for each feature:

Theme: /tmp/mnt/E438-A5D2/.msplus_theme/
Trailer: /tmp/mnt/E438-A5D2/.msplus_trailers/
Watched: /tmp/mnt/E438-A5D2/.msplus_watched/
Playlist: /tmp/mnt/E438-A5D2/PlayLists/

@Markster,

usb mounts changing is usually caused by enabling the usb power off function or deep sleep function

when those are enabled, the drive must be remounted at power on,
the problem occurs is the drive was not first ejected
when the drive is not ejected, the original mount locations remain but are empty
so new mounts are created when the power is restored and drive is mounted again

Thanks KAD.

I believe Stealth3si indicated in earlier thread conversations he disabled the usb power off option.

As well, since this drive has plugins located on it, I thought the usb power off option was ignored for those drives?

there's currently some known bugs for usb power off & for deep sleep

in most cases, the drives, don't even remount on power on
but there's a few cases where it will remount with different mount points

On side note, possibly unrelated, is there a way to unplug a USB drive (not the one with the plugins, themes, etc) without having to ejecting it from the menu? As long as I do this, I can re-plug it back into the unit (even while on standby)and it will be detected again. But if I unplug it without ejecting it, it won't be detected again until I unplug/plug the power cord back in.

Is this normal for it behave like this? IIRC, I use to be able to disconnect and reconnect successfully without having to eject it.
