Got it. I would like you to turn on debug please.
Step 1:
To do so, open the WebEnd Configuration and on the "Main" tab under the section called "System", please change the "DMAOSD_DEBUG" to "File + stderr".
Save this page.
Step 2:
Then go to the "WDTVExt Features" tab and under the section called "Movies+ Configurations", please change the "MSPLUS_DEBUG" to 2.
Save this page.
Step 3:
Then reboot using the "Reboot WDTV" link under the "System Tools" area on the main screen of the Web Frontend.
If the problem occurs, then press power button on remote to shut off your WD immediately as the log file fills up quickly. Go to Step 4.
If it doesn't occur, then I assume you will press power button to shut off, wait a few seconds, then press power to turn on again.
Per your description below, the issue should defintely happen now.
Step 4:
If you are able to putty/telnet to your WD, I would like you to copy the file called dmaosd.log located in the /tmp folder to your PC and send it to me in an email.
Step 5:
if you can't access your WD directly, click on the "File Manager" located on the main screen of the Web Frontend.
Change the "address" to "/tmp" and the "filter" to "dmaosd.log" Click "apply"
You should see the dmaosd.log file. Click on it and it will open. Depending on its size, it may not look nicely formatted. No worries.
Simply click on the window and press ctrl-a (windows) to highlight all of it contents. Press ctrl-c (windows) to copy the contents and then paste them into notepad on your PC.
Send me the contents in an email.
