Hey Markster,

great work....Moviesheets+ is awesome....

but i have a problem...everything works fine, but the auto-trailer doesn't work...i use the settings in the guide....the trailers are in MOV-format in the .msplus_trailers folder, but he didn't start in the moviesheet

what's the problem???

I responded to your same post on another forum. My response was:

What value do you have for your msplus_TRAILERDIR setting. If it is on the same drive\location as your theme directory, it should be nearly the same value except for the .msplus_trailers reference at the end.

Also, I assume msplus_TRAILER_ACTIVE is enabled?

How did you type in the 15 seconds? I have seen some users type "15" vs. 15. Please ensure it is just 15.

What is the full name of the movie\folder you are stopping on for 15 seconds? The trailer directory will be checked, assuming the above info is correct, for the exact same name (upper and lower case) less the extension and (time) value you need to provide.
Please provide the full name of the trailer as well.

AE can certainly be used to achieve what you want, and much more. AVS Video Editor has quite a few transition and tools that allows you to finish your projects. I can tell you that I use it quite often.

What is the particular plugin/addon/feature that is used to create the mist/smoke/flame effect that is located on the bottom third of the screen?

Have you tried changing your windows display control panel settings, DPI size?

No I'm not too sure what this is, and how it would relate to how large the date font is or how much room there is in the template for the date to be displayed?

Basically it changes the size of your windows fonts and the font size in the templates would change accordingly.

If you want to keep the DPI/windows font size you're on now, then you can simply use ThumbGen Designer to modify the font sizes in the templates in question to suit your preference.

So I guess I will try 2.0.2 and look for someone elses templates, where there is a single template per page.. It would be nice to have the transparent ones but it's just not working for me at the moment..

It's possible to use ThumbGen Designer to modify someone else's templates and marksters' as well to get the transparency blended in with whatever template you desire.

Stealth3si, one of the reasons I charge is because I license some of the effects I get from other authors. I then modify them to suit my own needs. The smoke, plasma and fire effects are some example of this in which I purchased other AE projects and pre-rendered videos and combined them into my own.

Suggest using google and researching AE and other pre-rendered sites that offer video and AE projects. Good way to learn is to use an existing AE project that offers what you want so you can learn\see how they achieved the effects.

Various sites (approx. a dozen I use), incuding VideoHive. Plugins vary between projects, and alot have pre-rendered video if you don't have plugins.

This thread is about MovieSheets+, not AE or creating videos, theming, etc. Prefer you send me questions to markster.ca@shaw.ca. However, I get upwards of 100 emails a day for people looking for support, 90% not related to MovieSheets+, so won't guarantee I can assist you.

Currently I am focused on MovieSheets+ support, not AE or video creation, sorry. Best way to learn is to jump in and get wet.

Not a problem at all man. I tend to throw myself in the fire of things and learn my own way rather be taken by the hand.
