Sorry for asking a noob question in thread but can I ask how can I download MediaNavigationV4 plugin? Through wdlxtv menu only MediaNavigationV2 is available.

It isn't the final version, but it works fine for me (I've been using it for a month or so).

@sailort: any plans to release a final v4 that will be uploaded to the svn? It would make life easier on the new users.

MediaNavigation V4 has been posted into SVN and considered now as stable and current version. Older version won't be maintained.
Please use MNv4 thread for further discussions here .

I'm on 1.02.21_WDLXTV.COM_WDLXTV_LIVE-0.4.5.3 firmware


I read all this posts and constantly try to install amazing MediaNavigation plugin. I don't know where am I make a mistake.

At first: I created on my USB flash drive folder ".wdtvext-plugins" through WD TV LIve.

And downloaded on my PC "MediaNavigation.100514_2.rar", then extracted files in ".wdtvext-plugins" directory on USB flash drive which contains:



Do i must put more some files in the ".wdtvext-plugins" directory before i plug in USB flash drive in my WD TV LIVE?

Anyway, i insert USB flash drive with these files, WD TV Live recognize new plugin and i reloaded....then i play the movie, and i wish to skip the one part of movie with "time search option" like these:



To navigate "Left and right" arrow works, but "up and down" no works.

What would need make in order to function?

And, when i unplug the USB flash drive stick (with plugin "MediaNavigation") from WD TV LIVE, function of MediaNavigation is disappear.

I need help.

Two things first:
1. You are running an old firmware that isn't supported very much. You should upgrade to 1.02-0.4.7.3 or 1.02-0.5.1.1
2. There is a MediaNavigationV4 script available. It should contain everything you need to have it work.

If you remove the usb stick while the media player is on, yes the script will crash (since it uses the files on the media player). You need to leave the USB stick plugged in. If you don't want this, look for zimky's firmware with MediaNavigation burned into the firmware (search the forum for it).
