WDTVExt Plugin list disappeared from Webend Config [SOLVED]

Postby leetwanker » Mon Jan 12, 2015 8:44 pm

I went in today to try to get the MediaFolder plugin working (which is already installed) and the list in the webend to enable/disable the plugins was gone.

I have the Tools plugin installed and it's working but I have the Plugins icon hidden on the OSD so can't enable MediaFolder there either.

Either I have to get the list to start displaying again in the webend or the OSD or find another way to enable/disable plugins.

Thankies

Which firmware version are you running? 1.02.21_V.WDLXTV_LIVE-0.5.2.0?

Do you still view a WDTVExt features under Config Manager? I'm not familiar with MediaFolder plugin - do you mean MediaMark?

It should look like this:

Did you try to reboot the unit?

No, not MediaMark. MediaFolder is for is used to alter the shortcuts on the home screen and such (change where the shortcuts take you).

I got my plugins displaying again by doing this:

Code: Select all
rm /conf/wdtvext-plugins

They were back after a reboot.

Hi, I have the same problem, but 'rm /conf/wdtvext-plugins' and multiple hard reboots + enabling/disabling wdtvext does not fix it :(

Thanks.

Oh also if I disable autohide of the menu icon it causes the OSD to freeze. However the webend still works. Maybe that has something to do with it. Something is not right.

edit: Also I tried a different USB port.

edit2: Also I just noticed the folder /apps/WDTVext does not exist! Something is really wrong...

A full factory reset from the web end did the trick.

I'm glad it worked for you - I haven't seen this issue before. Let me know if you notice it again, I'd like to collect some logs.
