would it be possible to mod the OSD so that the progress bar is not visible when using FF or rewind?

Not really, you can mod an OSD to have NO progressbar atall but only for FF/REV I don't think so.

thanks once i saw osd mod is just stored on usb then just deleteing the info bar entirely from video_run.xml was all i needed
