OSD without usb-pendrive?

Hello!

I started using custom firmware today and wanted to load a new osd with osd.bin. It works, but after that, the usb-hdd doesn't power off.
So my (first) question is: Is it possible to copy the osd.bin directly to the wd tv live, so that there is no need for a usb-drive?

Only possible with NETAPP feature (search the forum for it). Basically you put the osd.bin on a network share which gets mounted at boot.
