New problem..And i really dont know why cause nothing has been changed...
Screensaver is running in "background", means behind the sheets...I can hear it , but only see it for a sec when i switch from main menu to my USB1 HDD for example...

Installation
put on root of thumbdrive
set DMAOSD_DEBUG (first tab in WEC under "system" if you've never used this select "File")
reboot
select videoscreensaver ON (WEC osd tab)

Optional
enter path to your custom screensaver (WEC osd tab)
enabled random selection of screensavers (WEC osd tab)
random requires setting a path to directory of screensavers (WEC osd tab)

Notes
if this fails for any reason you still get the normal screensaver

doesn't look like the app.bin loaded at all
.mnt file on thumbdrive is recommended for running app.bin's
there's no known conflict between this and EyeCandy, it's been quite a while, but I obviously used both at the same time in the past

my recommendation look at the bug report and at dmaosd.log to see any clue to why the app.bin did not load
you might also look at WAM to see if it reports the app.bin as enabled

or you can view the file itself at /tmp/messages.txt

something else you can check
videoscreensaver will actually continually run a process in the background
so you can check if there is a videoscreensaver process running

I switched to slimvideoscreensaver.app.bin and that seems to be working.

Question: my screensavers are in: /tmp/media/usb/USB2/9A92-3438/screensavers/

What should be the values of the following fields? Currently I have them both set to /tmp/media/usb/USB2/9A92-3438/screensavers/

looks like you made some good progress

my recomendation for all settings is to refer to a path that will not change between reboots
so you want to use /tmp/mnt instead of /tmp/media
random might look like this (directory containing screensavers)

this was designed for new firmware that does not have WDTVext
now that said

it should work, and obviously from your post it is working
but there's also another option based on WDTVext

effect should be the same, so just stick with whichever one you're more comfortable with
