As has been stated many, many times now: /tmp/media/usb/USBx/*** locations do *NOT* exist at boot and cannot be used for things like this.

you need to enable early mount and adjust the location to

this version operates completely differently from any previous version
previous versions used an ext plugin to run and handle menusheets
1.05.04 firmware does not have ext
also MENUSHEETDIR that was set up for prior versions will not be compatible
but I do have a default MENUSHEETDIR in this version

you will only need to set MENUSHEETDIR if you want to use a custom directory, or one of the alternate directories included in the download

I've got a Live +
Flashed it to 1.05.04 0.5.0.0

I downloaded the file you told me:
http://www.mediafire.com/?q1mxlchh15c524c, extracted it, put it on a thumbdrive, rebooted.

Eyecandy is coming up, in the web-configurator in the OSD-tab I can see the eyecandy-part.

I enabled early-boot and could change the Wallpapers (e.g. to Windows-Wallpapers). Everything works well, but the color-schemes can not be changed.

Linksheet is set to on, I tried with moviesheets enabled and disabled. I've got no moviesheets.

I also tried a different thumbdrive, same results.

I browsed the forum but couldn't find a solution. Have you got any ideas?

Kad answered:

I'll admit, I'm aware of 1 bug with colorschemes, but it does not prevent the schemes from working
there's only 1 image that doesn't currently change

the Rest of the colorschemes should be completely intact and functional

you can do the following in telnet/ssh and post the results on forum

grep color /tmp/messages.txt

then

/osd/etc/init.d/umountcolorschemes

this script just ensures any previously mounted colorscheme is properly unmounted
next set a color scheme option
I'd give you the config tool, but I'm at work i think it may be
EYE_CANDY_COLOR_SCHEME
and yes the numbers you found before are correct, so use either 2 or 3
or use wec

then run the script manually

/osd/etc/init.d/S??eyecandycolorschemes


again at work, so I don't have the exact script name in front of me, but the grep cmd above will show the exact script name

and post any output/error messages from running the cmd

So, that's what happend:

So, obviously the eyecandycolorschemes stopped immediatly after loading

/osd/etc/init.d/umountcolorschemes
I got a whole load of (which is ok, because the script isn't running)

After a short while my screen changed and I got the desired color-scheme!

So, what do I do to start the sript right after the beginning (after reboot it is back to red)?

well this is interesting

this shows script started, what color scheme it loaded, and then finally that it's finsihed running, that is all correct

It also confirms that the blue color scheme is correctly enabled, if it wasn't, color scheme (3) would not be loading

the umount errors are of coarse expected
had some problem occured with running S68 manually, you would have seen similiar messages

I can't see why it's not working at boot, the /tmp/messages.txt says it's running correctly at boot

I'll have to give this some thought

In an overview eye candy is facing 2 problems, some users have stated eye candy wec options are not loaded in wec
and now an issue with colorschemes

I'd pose this question, You have a Plus
Anybody with a Plus have colorschemes working?
does anybody with a Plus have Eye Candy wec options?

I do NOT have a plus, I have a live, but I thought we had some Plus users with everything working ???

I'm really not sure what is causing either problem at this point, as everything is working on my Live

As I find solutions, I'll keep you guys posted

you are right the ls cmd shows what the problem is

the directory does not exist so my wec entry will never run
but that directory is created by apache 's init.d as part of the firmware
not part of the osd mod

merlin or brad would likely have a better idea of what could cause this
we'll see what we can come up with
