nice one. Regardless of whether or not you use it or not, I'd highly suggest making the options menu compatible. All you have to do is look at the differences between the files and replace one option block with the other. Nothing more complicated than that.

I'd suggest renaming your bin something clearer as well...maybe lilibabe.picto.ii-1.03.49.osd.bin, that will help keep confusion down with compatability issues.

If it really is that easy then I'll take a look into it tomorrow. Thanks!

nice to see somebody working on this, I've obviously got other stuff going on but if you need help on what to edit to be 1.03.49 and up compatible let me know, I just recently done this with eye candy osd mod

as for the option menu's - in a nut shell
look at video_run.xml it starts with a ctrlgroup that has the options menu defined
delete these and replace with some include file's
you can see the new value's on svn
I'd say there's about 30 - 40 files that need this change to have every options menu in the osd working

Well, unfortunately I tried to fix it as you have said tonight and must have missed something because the options menu still appeared every time. I'm gone on vacation tomorrow but will take another crack at it when I get back.

Thanks though for the suggestions and help!

@Pennywisdom, what button do you press after the right arrow button to get the subtitle to switch on?

Just got back from vacation, took another stab at it, and had a lot of success! - Thank you KAD for the suggestions, that definitely helped me get started.

All options menus work now except for one. (I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction here as everything I try fails.) I can't seem to get the options menu that lets you choose how you're browsing your files to work (Thumbnail, List, Preview). It just doesn't appear at all. It doesn't render the OSD useless, but it would be nice to have.

I couldn't get the existing style of options menu to work on 1.03 so I've reverted to the style of the default OSD, just with picto icons in place (see below).

I believe that Pandora and Deezer options are in place properly but can't test Pandora as it's not available in Canada and don't even see an option for Deezer when navigating the OSD. Mediafly also works properly but could use a little bit of formatting to make it look prettier. (Not really something I'm good at so I may leave it as it is usable right now).

If someone could please test Pandora and Deezer for me and let me know how it is, then once I figure out the file browsing options menu thing, then I can apply these to the other versions of Picto as well and I'll post them here.

Thanks again everyone for the help!

there's a whole big group of them to fix those option bars

basic_browse.xml
basic_browse_thumb_video.xml there's a whole list of these
basic_browse_thumb_video.sheet.xml etc etc for all browser modes
basic_browse.4.xml etc etc

as for how to edit the options menu's, look and feel, there are very few options I could find, and I also am settling on the default WD operation
we're just not given enough variables to play with
but if you want to have a go,
inc_optionmenu_widgets.xml has those value's
and
inc_optionmenu_node.xml points to the individual images
