WDTV Live Plus OSD based on PsychoTHC 6.5.3 MOD

If it wasn't possible to do an OSD mod on the Plus before. It is definately possible now.
I tried using PsychoTHC's mod as is, and it had a small bug that was staring me in the face. The "option" button was non functional on the remote. and whenever i tried to play a video the Option menu was just hanging out on the top of my screen, and would not go away. This Modification is just a quick fix for now, but it is functional. This is why I am posting it.
I do need help from PsychoTHC however. For the quick fix I deleted all .xml files in the osd root and replaced them with the ones in the stock osd. Quite a few of them were different. I need to know which files were altered by him from stock so I can make sure all files work correctly. I haven't seen it yet, but so far. no big bugs. so mostly it is a stock with pretty pictures.

I changed the USB1 and USB2 thumbs. with custom thumbnails for USB checked. USB1 is now "TV Shows" and USB2 is DVD Movies. I have all of the other Drives networked so using a Folder.jpg in the root with an xmount so they already show up with a thumb. This is what started my weekend escapade, to have a work around to not being able to change the USB thumbs easily. That really needs to change but this will work for now. Beleive it or not you can't edit a .thumb file in Photoshop but you can in Paint.

You can probably get by with one less of the firmwares but just in case the root.bin for ext3 boot is in there.
Update: The ext3 boot is not required, used a different hard drive and it works without, in fact they kind of conflicted with each other. It would see the boot but not the osd.

Download this Flash Firmware First and install.

Then Download the Modified PsychTHC v6.5.3 OSD.bin

You will need a USB Drive to boot up on, mine is NTFS formated 2 TB drive.
copy the contents of the zip file directly to the root of the drive. and reboot WDTV. thats it. all config settings should stay the same.
(Update: again you don't need root.bin)

OSD Modding the plus has always been possible, just those doing mods, such as myself, don't own a plus, rather difficult to mod a device you don't own

another way of making sure your stock.osd.bin is up to date is to do an svn checkout prior to starting your mod

Is there an alternate download location? Obviously megaupload isn't working.

Sorry if I'm being a super noob. I just flashed my Live Plus with wdlxtv and wanted to theme it so after reading multiple threads it looked like this was one of 3 that I could use on mine. If there is some updated version that works on mine I appologize for bumping an old thread.
