for the setting menu "Audio/Video"

you create a folder Audio and inside it the file Video

as for hosting, I've used http://www.mediafire.com for a while
it's free and easy
the free account has always had enough bandwidth for any of my needs

Thanks I did get there in the end. after inspecting the other menu folders, but thanks again
I will check out uploading my graphics next week.
just one other question to change the Icons on the side bar ( camera, cog wheel, piano etc) would I need a linux machine?
I found where they are and exported to Photoshop using VMplayer but this will not let me re import back into folder.

thanks again

I don't remember if I cramfs'd the image or ext3
it's probably an ext3 image

and if you're running VMplayer, what are you running inside it?
ubuntu, kubuntu, etc ...

that would be plenty to work on those images
actually you could even work on them with the WD
for an ext3 image
Code: Select all
mount -o loop /path/to/theme.osd.bin /path/to/mountpoint

to edit those on the WD
you just need to prevent any cross mounting / aufs unionfs
to do that disable linksheets & menusheets
make sure color scheme is on default red
then just ftp into the WD and you should be able to replace the images in real time
when you reboot your changes are saved

that is what you type at the cmd line line in ubuntu
of coarse you'll need to adjust the paths accordingly

oh and once your done

to save changes
Code: Select all
umount /path/to/mountpoint
