DirectFB success

Have a question about devices internals, memory layout, reverse engineering, etc---This is the place for anything so technical that it would cause a n00b's head to 'splode

Surprising result from somebody with a post count of 1 :) Congratulations!

How do you control the browser? Hardware keyboard? Any mouse support? How did you compile the browser (I can't see the larger pics) with DirectFB support? Could you post a "recepie"/howto?

Edit: wait, I've been dooped. I thought this was a new post :)

May be you know how receive events from IR controller? At this moment I found only /dev/ir, ir kernel module, /tmp/ir_injection.

Write simple app which print keyname. Now don't work only 4 buttons: Power, Rew, FF, EJECT.
I think that Qt don't understand these key codes...

Even if the WDTV has just a few buttons, even without those mentioned, you could build a working QT Gui. You can also try to use EIRI with a different remote and see if you get more keyboard events

Thanks for reply.

Now I'm trying to understand at what point the error.
I found the information that these buttons (for example: DIKS_FASTFORWARD) are used to "DirectFB key symbols (for advanced mapping)" http://directfb.org/docs/DirectFB_Reference_1_0/types.html#DFBInputDeviceKeySymbol

There are two hypotheses:
1 It should be clearly stated to use the advanced mapping
2 Or Qt built without the support of these keys ?? (Unlikely, I think)

P.S.: I use native for WD TV Directfb library.
